1961 by Ernest “Cotton” Huey and his wife Anne, as Huey Funeral Home. This landmark funeral home in downtown Canton has been in the same location since its opening and plans to remain a vital part of the business community for many years to come.
In December 1961, Ernest “Cotton” Huey and his wife Anne opened Huey Funeral Home on Main Street in Canton, GA. This hometown business was committed to honest and compassionate service. To maintain the high standards it had come to be known for, several 
dedicated employees were added as the business grew.
Earl W. Darby joined Huey Funeral Home in September of 1972 and has been with the company either part time or full time ever since. His dedication to the business and to serving the Canton community strengthened when Earl and his wife Olene purchased Huey Funeral home on January 1, 2009. On February 10, 2009 they changed the name to Darby Huey Funeral Home to reflect the new ownership, but also to honor the heritage and service by the Huey family.

Just as Earl has stayed with the funeral home through the years, several employees continue to show their support and dedication to the business. One is Joe Dowda, the first employee hired in 1961. Earl, Olene and the rest of the employees look forward to continuing to serve the area's families at Darby Funeral Home.
