Carlton Witt Hendrix Sr., age 88 of Canton passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. The Funeral is scheduled for Friday, January 4, 2013 from the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home at 2:30PM with Rev. Floyd Tenney and Rev. Ed Towers officiating. The Interment will follow in Southview Cemetery. The Family will be receiving friends Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Darby Funeral Home from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM. The survivors are Wife Martha M. Hendrix of Canton, Son Carlton W. Hendrix Jr. of Canton and Sister Doris H. Goddard of Canton, also surviving are 2 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren along with a host of Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Hendrix worked 37 ½ years as a Tool Designer at Lockheed. Member of the Canton Masonic Lodge #77 for over 50 Years, Past Commander of the American Legion Post 45, Member Red Coats Auxillary for R.T. Jones Hospital and a Member of Canton First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Canton First United Methodist Church Building Fund. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Dear Martha and family just got this notice when got to my email and wanted to to let you know we have you in our thoughts and prayers. I will make sure my Dad, Elbert Rowell and Margie knowns about Carlton’s passing.
