Russell Thomas Raper, age 63 of Canton passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at his residence. Private Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mr. Raper is survived by his wife Mary Raper of Canton; Sons Russell Raper of TX, Jason Raper of Canton, Matthew Raper of Aurora, CA, Daughters Angela Raper, Jennifer Raper, Sara McDonald, Emaly Raper of Canton and Amber Raper of Kennesaw; Brothers Errol Raper of OH and Jim Thomas of AL; Sister Darlene Raper of OH also 15 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangenments.

I use to work with this man he was a swell guy to work with. I remember when he came over to our house to put up Christmas lights for me I mean he would do anything for anybody. I remember one time he hurt his arm painting and so he let his beard and his hair grow out and before you knew it he looked like the real Santa Claus. I also remember especially during Christmas time the place that I worked at they would allow him to wear a Santa suit and put reindeer on top of his red van. I thought that was neat to allow him to do something like that and I really enjoyed working with him.
Im truly sorry to hear of your loss. Death is never an easy thing to cope with. Yet, God promises to put an end to any suffering we may be experiencing. No longer will death or sickness affect mankind. We also have the hope of being able to see our loved ones again, right here on earth, under peaceful conditions. We patiently await such a future.-Revelation 21:4, Acts 24:15, Isaiah 25:8.
