A Poem for Katy Anna & Jay
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
Your father would say, “Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life he lived while he was strong.
Continue his heritage, he’s counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
His mind is at ease, his soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how he truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls
Although you miss him dearly, keep up your chin.
Until the day comes you’re together again.

Dear Kelly, Jay, Katy and Family. Bennie and I are so sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. We love all of you and will remember the Halloween Trick & Treats and Dan’s big, happy smile. A great Father, Husband and Son. He will be greatly missed. Our prayers go up for all.
There are no words to take away the hurt. My prayer is that God will help you feel the joy and the strength you found in your father and husband and know it was a gift he gave you to harness inside for all of your life. It will fill your heart forever. God be with you!

I am stunned and saddened. Although I have moved away, I have always kept my adopted family in my mind. I met Dan around 1995 at the hunt camp that his dad Bill and I were members. I remember sitting around the fire telling and listening to stories, especially when Dan was working out west near Yellowstone. I can honest say, that the laughing scared everything away…. For days. Dan was very kind, helpful and down to earth. Dan was a Mans, Man period.
I felt that I needed to reach out to Hutch, Dan’s father, on Wednesday and failed to do so. He has been heavy on my mind, and I did not know what was happening. It has been too long and I only wished that I could be there for my friend… Praise God, from whom, ALL Blessings Flow.
We were so sorry to hear of Dan’s untimely passing. I wasn’t privileged to know Dan as an adult, but can imagine he was like his Dad, able to make your face sore from laughing so hard listening to their jokes and stories. One of the comforts at a time like this is knowing Dan touched many lives that were made fuller by knowing him.
We grieve with all of you at this time.
Love,
David and Susie
I was stunned to hear the sad news of Dan’s sudden passing. He will be greatly missed by many people. Though not a close friend of the family, Dan has been my farrier for several years. He always had a smile on his face and a cheerful word. I really looked foreward to seeing him when he came to my farm. He was knowledgeable and masterful at his profession, always kind to both horses and people. I know he adored his wife and family and he was a fun person to be around. I really feel my life has been made richer by just knowing him, and I am grateful for that. I am saddened at his passing. Prayers of comfort go out to all family members and friends. God Bless you Dan, you were a very special person. Rest in Peace. We will miss you greatly.
Dear Kelly, Katy, and Jay,
Our hearts are so saddened by the loss on this earth of Dan Hutchison!! He was bigger than life! :) Dan came into our lives professionally many years ago, but we are so thankful that our relationship wasn’t just business and that he became a friend. We enjoyed our visits and swapping family news and trying to figure out this whole child raising thing. :) We will always remember Dan with a smile and a laugh!! May the Lord of all peace and comfort bring such into your life now as you develop a new “normal.” We loved Dan and were so thankful to know him. 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.” With love and prayers for you all, Dr. Chris and Julie Chris Jernigan

We are so sorry for your loss. the community has also lost a good man who cared for everyone. He has been a light in our life whenever he came to shoe our horses. He cared for our horses and too cared for him. We will truly miss his jokes, stories, and tales of his loved family. He always came happy and positive to our home. Thank you for sharing him with us. God Bless you and keep you in his loving arms.

Im so sorry for your loss.. I went to school with Dan. He was a wonderful Guy.. He will be missed Greatly !! Rest in Peace Our Friend!!
So short a life but so full he lived it. Dan’s death will always be a reminder of how precious is our time on earth. And I trust in his minister who gave his memorial, that Dan is in a better place and looking down on us all as we remember him. I will miss his visits to our barn as he cared for our horses and shared some good old common sense with me as we talked about just about everything. Enjoyed those mornings and his easy way of going and never rushing to the next job.
WE WILL BE TOGETHER AGAIN JUST THE SAME AS BEFORE ONLY IN HEAVEN FOREVER MORE.
Kelly my heart breaks for you and the kids. We will keep you in our prayers and Dan will always be in our hearts. We are always here for you and your family.
God Bless
